I am a painter working in acrylic and oil,

drawn to atmospheric color and gesture over strict representation. I was born in Mexico and raised in Austin, and studied art formally in college. Though my practice went quiet for a while as I built a career in operations leadership, I have returned to a consistent studio practice. My work is less about depicting a scene and more about capturing a mood or a moment of energy on the canvas.
